Youssef Abdullah Al-Batran, Chairman of the Emirates Club, welcomed coach Justin Olivera from the Gool Women’s Football Academy, in the presence of Mansour Hussein, a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Company, and a number of football coaches, led by the Serbian coach Meric.
The meeting was to look at the possibilities available at the club for the participation of women in the football; especially since women's football has experienced a boom in the past few years.
During the visit, coach Justin confirmed that to move to the next stage requires more interaction from clubs with women's football, with the aim of spreading the game and expanding the base of practices for it, especially since the UAE is at the forefront of the spread of women's football in the Arab Gulf states.
For his part, Yousef Al-Batran stressed the wonderful support of the wise leadership for women’s sports and the fact that clubs need to help spread the women’s football by allocating places and stadiums for .women’s football. In addition, he noted that the UAE is a pioneer in the practice of women’s football in the region, and it is one of the leading countries in seeking to spread it
